Okay, so this whole dating-the-image thing is fun...

A buddy of mine passed it by his dad, who says the object on the bottom shelf of the cabinet behind the ladies is a Lionel locomotive, dating to the late 30's or so. Says the knobs are electric switches, and that gas ones would be recessed in the center with a key-like turning thing.

Scott, can you get me some better res on the Locy? Lionels are a 2nd bad habit of mine but I can't make much out by what you've posted. Actually Lionel's are a 3rd. Old Fords are the 2nd. I know, scary for a guy that's just making wages isn't it. None of the kids starved to death.

For all of you model railroad fans, make it a point to get to Chattanooga, Tennessee one day.

Venturing off topic - sorry, folks. But here's a 100% crop of the loco, FWIW. Not the best - sorry.

    Almost as old.
    8x10 FP5 in a Burke&James (my first serious camera) with a 300mm Symmar. Did nobody else use a Burke&James?

Hey, Christopher: I used an 8x10 Burke and James from 1989 to 1993. Navy surplus, like new condition.

I have had 2 B&J 810's. They are certainly capable cameras, but neither were keepers.
