    Hello

    Hi folks,

I appear to have just bought myself this

I have no lens yet but I'm really excited about this new phase of my photographic life.

Welcome to group therapy! Looks like a nice rig...get a lens and shoot lots! Do you have a standard bellows as well as the bag bellows? If not, be sure to buy a starting lens that isn't too long for the maximum extention of the bag since those are used mainly for wide angle lenses.

Vick, I do have the standard bellows as well as the bag, and numerous other bits and bobs I'm still trying to identify.

I have also learnt a couple of harsh lessons.

    1) Always read the advert properly, when it says Macro it probably means it

    2) Don't tighten the ground glass screen to tight, it's likely to go Crack!

Still, not to worry, everyday is an adventure

Sorry 'bout the cracked glass! Go easy there! Since you have a standard bellows, you're pretty well set up for any lens from 90mm thru (guessing here since I'm not familiar with your camera, just the type) about 250mm; I'd start with something around 150mm to 165mm (a "normal" lens) and add long and short lenses as you need them...I shouldn't give such suggestions...my lens selection ranges from 65mm to 445mm (includes convertible lenses). I started (about 42 years ago) with a 159mm lens on a Graphic View II, and branched out from there. This gets to be habit-forming!
