Then I ran into it again when I visited Clyde Butcher's gallery in Venice Florida. His wife Nicki, an artist in her own right, colors BW photos. We bought a couple when there and mounted them on our walls at home. Recently she put together a book of her work that I bought as a gift for my wife who was the one who bought her work when we were there originally. The book is done so professionally. Beside the work, the binder, pages, prints, everything about it is first class and at a reasonable price. You might want to take a look at it. Best regards.

Thank you, Alan, for sharing your colorized family portrait; it is lovely.
Thank you also for the link!

Using a Wacom pen and PS, I colorize some of my B&W work for fun. I no longer choose to shoot color film (digital replaced that for me), but I miss transparencies.
I am new to the CatLabs X Film 80 II, and it is okay if anyone wants to know, as I took a chance with it and could not find where anyone shot it and then posted about it.
Lots of green dye left in the prewash. I washed it out three times with a 3-minute wait between two 2-minute baths of gentle agitation (Paterson tank/MOD54 reel).
Shot the film close to 80 asa, and I usually bracket another sheet about a stop more with B&W film for an extra negative in case of damage, etc. The film did well at box speed.
Wow, that's lovely. Out of interest, how long does it take you? Presumably you don't colour each individual leaf...

That browny-red really reminds me of the autochrome color palette.

    Thanks, Peter.

This image probably took 3-4 hours.
But I never colorize in one sitting. Since I work on the computer most days, I work a little here and there on an image while doing my work on the computer.
I get bored sometimes and start colonizing an image in the background of my workspace.

    Best to you,
    Darr

Oh I quite like this composition. It's got a timelessness to it.
