An old pump like this was posted a couple of weeks ago, but well after I'd made these photos. I just now got them scanned.

    Saltbox and Pump, 2012
    Fuji 160C, Sinar F2, 90mm f/5.6 Super Angulon, f/22 at 1/15.

    Hand Pump, 2012
    Fuji 160C, Sinar F2, 210mm f/5.6 Sinaron-W, f/16 at 1/60.

I used some left swing in the bottom one--it's amazing how little depth of field one has even at f/16 at this range. The top one got significant right shift--that's all. I didn't want my reflection in the window. I did want the flag reflected in the window, and I wanted to see into the opening on the pump just a bit. But I spent a while trying to align with those shingles, only to finally realize that no two rows are parallel and the windows are definitely not level and plumb. It's understandable--the house was built in the middle 1700's out of wood from shipwrecks.

    Dashboard

This is the dashboard of a discarded pickup truck at an abandoned drilling site in the Mojave Preserve. I am doing a little series on steering wheels and dashboard from abandoned cars and trucks. Who the heck knows why, but I find it fun.

On this one, I was drawn the the dashboard detail, with the broken gauges and the eternally stuck odometer.

Rick, love the second one. The delicate colors and soft but directional light is very nice.

Thanks. It was right before sunset, with thin clouds diffusing the light just a bit.
