    Any uses for a Polaroid 545 holder?

    I have a Polaroid 545 film holder, and a Graflex speed graphic. Is there any way I can take photographs with this? I know nothing about Polaroid other than that it has been discontinued, Fuji still makes something and the Impossible Project still makes something.
    McGyverish steps are ok. I'm looking for something like this or better:

    -buy some Fuji FP-100B
    -{Do something McGuyverish in complete darkness}
    -Take camera out of dark room and take photo

    Perhaps even a 'supported' way of taking instant photos still exists. I don't want to pay a fortune for any remaining polaroid film on ebay

    This has been a frequently asked question lately. The general consensus is "no"... not for anything photographic, at least. There is no film available to fit it and not any certainty of any in the future. Use as a doorstop has been suggested. I'm keeping mine in a close "just in case", though.

    The only thing that you can reasonably do with a 545 holder and no Polaroid film is to find some Fuji Quickloads or Kodak Readyloads. You may be able to still find Quickloads, but Readyloads are all in somebody's freezer by now.

    The Fuji Instant film can be used in the Polaroid 550 pack back, but I keep having to rethread the little paper leader strip after just about every shot. PITA. The construction of the Polaroid and Fuji pods are quite different, and you'd have to fabricate metal clips, so basically it's just a piece of our beloved past that we can't use anymore.

    Having wasted money on the bogus Impossible Project pack film fiasco, I have no confidence in their potential for making any sort of successful Type 55 replacement.

    I especially dislike those a-holes on eBay, "Camera$" who attempt to dupe people into buying a used 545 for over $100.

    I'll sell mine for half!

    Sounds like another reason to stick with the smaller 405 back; those work fine with the fuji packs.

    Make a stand for the Polaroid 545. Drape it in Kodachrome film.

    Place it on your mantle piece along with your antique collection.

    Do you think between everyone here we could come up with 545 alternative uses?

    Perhaps there is a way to convert it to instant wet plate? I'm just saying ...

    Aah well. Sounds like if some use exists, it's either exceedingly subtle and clever or pointless and impractical
