Odd filter size on 180mm Fujinon

I've just acquired a very nice Sinar F2 with a Fujinon W (on the outside of lens ring) 180mm 5.6 lens. This is the next to the latest model with the chrome aperture ring. I had understood that this lens used 67 mm filters, but lo, my lens accepts 62 mm filters. I can find no documented 180mm fujinon lens that uses a 62mm filter. Any thoughts on this? Anomalies like this spike my curiosity.

i think when they switched from the w to the cm-w there were a couple years where 62mm was fitted instead of the normal 67mm... mine says fujinon-w (not cm-w) but mine is 67mm

On a slightly different note Fuji literature says that the W 125mm lens comes in a Seiko shutter. Mine is in a copal shutter

I believe only the older single-coated Fujinon W lenses were sold in Seiko shutters. Newer Fujinons, with "outer letting" (text on the lens barrel, not the front of the lens) all use Copal shutters.

As for filter sizes, Fujinon seems to have a habit of using different sizes for many versions of the same lens. I also have a Fujinon NW-125/5.6, mine takes 55mm filters. From what I understand, there are versions of the W/NW/CM-W 125/5.6 using either 46, 52, 55 or 67mm filters.
