    Fotoman 6x17 + Fujinon SW 90/8 + Kentmere Pan 100/510 Pyro
Image shot at my local library--where I test new gear (and film).

This is my first experience shooting with Kentmere Pan 100 film.
The Fotoman 6x17 camera, which is new to me also, is seeing its third roll of film.
Until now, my go-to 120 film for testing purposes was Fomapan.
However, my satisfaction with it dwindled over time.
On a recent visit to B&H, I navigated to the B&W film section and sorted the options by the lowest cost.
To my delight, Kentmere emerged as one of the top choices, priced at $5.xx per 120 roll.
Kentmere Pan 100 is now my preferred test film, and I wanted to share my experience with those who might not know about Kentmere Pan 100.
It comes in 400, too, but I like to shoot my test film in the same ASA as my non-test film (Acros II).
I see simongg is making some great images with it!

Beautiful, I'd be happy with your "test" images any day! What is the grain like, when developed in 510-Pyro? I usually shoot 35mm, but like you, I tend to use Acros II "for real." However, based upon your results, I may give the Kentmere a try.

    Thanks! You are very kind.

I use a semi-stand processing method (7 min stand, 20 sec. agitate, repeat, repeat, stop bath, fix, wash), which may bring out a bit more grain.
Also, I pushed structure a little in that particular image while post in SilverFx.
I camera scanned with my Fuji X-Pro3.
Here is a 100% crop in the sky where grain is most noticeable:

The library grounds are beautiful to shoot because there are so many tones to capture.
I ordered 20 rolls of Kentmere Pan 100 a few days ago for cold storage.
    I like it that much.

    Best to you!

Thank you! The grain is much less obtrusive, than I was expecting. I saw few Youtube videos about Pan 100, and the presenters were mentioning how big the grain was. But, to be fair, they were using different developers (D-76, I think, was one of them). I think I'll try some developed in 510-Pyro and "see how it goes," for me.
