The first is ethereal, other-worldly. It speaks to me of something transcendent in Woman, and of something hidden and mysterious in this particular woman. The expression on her face strikes me with the same emotion I feel when I look at the Mona Lisa's face. She's confident and relaxed: she isn't on display, she just is. I like that, quite a bit: it's very powerful.
The second isn't so satisfying to me; the heavy black scratching above and below her figure have become the focal point for me. They intrude artificially and I almost don't notice the woman's figure.
Outstanding work though, as usual.
