I think we all suffer from the same bias, although the specifics differ.
I'm an engineer by training and temperament, with virtually no artistic skill, so I tend to look at the technical aspects of a photo rather than the aesthetics.

Reminds me of Pink Floyd's Ummagumma album cover.
I wonder if your post was responsible.
http://www.thejakartaglobe.com/afp/b...aged-88/454500British artist Lucian Freud, grandson of the inventor of modern psychoanalysis Sigmund Freud, has died in London aged 88, his lawyer said on Thursday.
The painter was known mostly for his signature nudes and self-portraits such as the powerful 1993 work of Freud as a naked older man waving his brush like a weapon.

[QUOTE=George Kara;753388. . . Speaking of Freud. His grandson is one of the most famous living painters of the 21st century. - haha. You must hate his work as it pure muscle and texture. There are very few eyelashes or fingernails in his work. . . .

I had never heard of the late Lucian Freud until this thread. Now, after looking at reproductions of some of his work, I'm suprised, because the British should have vociferously pilloried him for his portrait of the queen. Peter Hurd, another artist noted for connections to a famous family, painted a more flattering portrait of President Lyndon Johnson. Johnson's response was, "That's the ugliest thing I ever saw!"
Perhaps Lucian Freud's intent was to present a visualization of the sitter's psyche rather than appearance. Judging from the results, I hope he failed,
Ustas really fantastic, the eyes of the woman and here nice front, really sexy!
