I tend to prefer black and white over color mediums, but the blue lighting really makes this work for me. I like it!

I don't think cropping would "destroy" it but I prefer it like it is.

I wouldn't like adding an element in the upper right myself. I see the point, but to me it would make it too cluttered and busy.

I agree. The pattern and texture of the folds complement the photograph. Imagine what it would look like if it were cropped and the background were plain. I think it provides a nice balance against the less conventional composition of the subject at the left edge and across the center. It works for me!

very slow shutter speed, maybe 1/4 second, hand held, and led lights. Also, ambient neon light from the window, thank you for the compliment
