There is something about that image! I am a bit of a newbie to LF, so please excuse me if I sound like one, but it has a velvety soft look, without being unsharp (if that makes sense). It really is a beautiful photograph.

Thanks for your comment! What you are seeing and others have commented on is in fact because of this lens, and others that have a similar transition from in focus to out of focus. The depth of field at f/9 or f/10 (I used somewhere in there) is shallow, very shallow, and the transition to the out of focus area has a look. It makes fabric look like satin. Other lenses have a similar transition, this one in particular is pretty special. The downside is that you can miss focus by the slightest movement by the subject. A downside that can ruin an image unfortunately, but when you get it right, it's gold.

Thanks. The scan sadly doesn't look as nice as the print. I bleached it in a fairly spent bleach which solarized darkest parts into that red-golden color. I am quite fond of the flowery spots on the top.
