Love how you've got the torso in the background mirroring the pose direction...

Really sweet light, Emil, congratulations. To me, the first is better.

Is she the same student in both images? seems to me hair is different...

It is all intuitive. Tina is lying on my dinner table. (on a bean bag chair)... A white (destroyed) white background paper in the back.
The painting is made by me 20 years ago - the big white sculpture on the right is also by me 29 years ago.
Basically, I noticed the painting and wanted to try and you it as if Tina could have been the model for it.. and I wanted the poaes to contra pose each other.
My house is FULL of odd things - from sculptures to dead animals, skulls and dead flowers.., so I too some and placed them there too.

my light is a 25watt light bulb.

That's it. I had an idea using the painting, but from there I worked intuitively.

    Thanks for your comments all!
Thanks! Sorry if I am being repetitive.....
So you painted he body with light no other light source? You use reflector then so it's a light beam or is a diffuse broad light? Like a bare bulb.
Interested how you get the lighting on her body so smooth.
What is the exposure time? Again.... the set is completely dark except for your paint light?

    Thanks!

25 watt spot lightbulb - on the lamp (old bed lamp) I have made a cone of black cardboard to prevent the light to be "seen" by the film (I only want the light that is reflected from the areas where I paint..)

No reflector - no diffusion. (crappy lens might count for the "diffused" look?) only the light mentioned. (teh room doesn't have to be totally dark when lightpainting, but the "extra" light has to be dim of course. - It is not a bad thing to have just enough backgroung light to be able to see where I am setting my feet..;-))
Exposuretime about one minut (depends on how much I want to paint).

Even light is due to 25+ years of practice....;-)

@gandolfi: No words to describe how beautiful the tonal ranges as if it is shot in a studio! The model (Tina) is so beautiful in her curves and the facial features! Marvellous job, admire your efforts! :-)

Du er god! Virkelig godt! Mange tak!

    :-)
