You're married to Imogen Cunningham??!!! I think it's terrific! You have a great model there.

Thanks, guys! I appreciate the comments. FWIW, I shot one more sheet (the last I think I'm gonna do for a while), but am going to mull it over for a while to see if I like it enough to post. I tried incorporating your suggestions, though - they were great.

Frank - You might be able to get hold of him through the clothing company, Sporthill. They used to make his signature series xc ski clothing. That was a few years ago, but somebody may still be able to hook you up.

Stephane, That's a lovely pic, I think the prices on Veritars are going to go up!

Can I ask about your focusing technique, do you start with the lens at infinity and focus closer, or the other way around?

Every time I attempt to focus a Veritar, I see two sharp focus points, one near - then is goes soft again, and then another sharp area farther away, and I am unsure which one to use. Any tips?

This is the first image taken with the Petzval-type lens I bought from the shady Australian guy.
I wanted the whisky in focus.
I'm not sure how this lens performs yet, looks a bit odd right now, with the weird distortion on the left hand side. I'm not talking about the screwed-up development (I tried something new for the first and last time - hehe), but the rather severe radial distortion, which showed up more on a different image. I've opened it up and tried to align the lenses as good as I can, and I'll try again over the weekend. I'll find out the size and shape of the IC and so on. This is fun, but I don't quite know yet whether I bought a dud...

This was shot, developed and scanned under the influence of Ardbeg as well, so there is that...
