Info on a WILD 8/100mm lens please

    I have a WILD 8/100mm lens from a P31 metric camera system.

It is said to be a Biogon type designed by Ludwig Bertele (who did also the Aviogon lens). Has built in shutter, bajonet front UV filter and sunshade. Mounted into a recessed lens boad (Technika I guess).

Any info on that lens welcome.

If it is a biogon, it would be very easy to check from its back focus.

I thought you sold it a long time ago, Klaus?

Westlicht sold a very similar looking lens in the last year or so. Assuming yours is not that lens, they might be able to give a bit more info. I think they have back catalogues online.

I have a vague memory that the one they sold was described as an Aviogon.

Klaus, have you considered asking Wild directly? AFAIK they're still in operation.

Cobalt, its just another photogrammetric lens. Lots of 'em around for those who have the money to buy them. Leaves me out, alas.

Unless I am mistaken the Wild name and many others were incorporated under the Leica Banner as Leica Microsystems. Leica was the best known/recognized of all of the brands under the Cambridge name/distribution and with the retirement of the E. Leitz name, the Leica name was applied to 3 separate companies.

    This might help:

I always wanted one of the little Rolleis myself, but collectors have moved in and spoilt the fun.
