mod photographic (ebay) 4x5 reel use

Did up a little video here as people were curious. No affiliation, just a curious Ebay buyer.

No report on consistency yet; I have only used it once so far and had good results. Time will prove whether it's consistent or not. I have plenty of experience with 35mm and 120 on the patterson reels, so this is a nice option. I also use the combiplan tank and tray developing.

Here it is in high def.

I had looked at these and asked them about the 5x7 they might make, so I am also interested--thanks for this.

From your video looks like you have to have extra sheets if you arent doing a full six to fill it up?

    thanks,

I'll be trying it with fewer sheets. I just wanted to try it first according to the instructions. I'll also be trying different developers, and inversion versus rotary agitation.

Please report on this: rotary would be interesting given the advantage in chemistry volume.

I'm curious about this too. Currently using a plate developing tank for my 4x5"; it works, but it's a PITA. This thing looks interesting, but I've yet to find a reasonably thorough review. I particularly want to know if the film stays in place during inversions, and whether or not the development is even and consistent.

I like the idea of developing 4x5" and 120 at the same time too.

    Thanks for the effort JP.

    Great video!

Do you have an eBay Seller ID or an email address of the seller?

I'm very interested in one of these.

    Thanks.

Re: mod photographic (ebay) 4x5 reel use

Does that mean that these MOD reels will not be available until Morgan (whoever he is) makes them?

Any idea when that will be?

Does he have a way for a customer to put a name on a waiting list to order them?

How do we contact this guy?
