    Lightbulb dagor 10cm f9 wholeplate 5x7 8x10?

Has anyone tried out a dagor 10cm f9 on any of these formats and with what success? I have read somewhere on the net that it was a half plate lens.
This might be so but to take the jump up to another format will it just circle out or will I loose all movement which is not a problem all of your wisdom would be welcome.
I would also like to know how well these lenses function wide open at f9 it will not matter if the corners darken but what is the deep of field on these lenses like.

    Thank you

    Ed

    Hi Ed

This lens covers 4x5 wide open, sharp to the corners. Shows 8 3/4" Image circle at small stops.

    Peace

The quality at the edges of the image circle does depend on the variety of "dagor". That is, from f7.7 series III onwards.

Don't know if this helps, but my Goerz 100mm 6.8 covers 4x5 stopped down with as much rise or fall as my Wista 4x5 will allow. The CZJ 10cm f9 is believed by some to have more coverage, at least wide open, than the 100mm 6.8 dagor, but it is hard to believe that it would cover 8x10. I haven't tried my 100 6.8 Goerz Dagor on my 5x7 but it might be possible, if no movements were used. I know that my 120mm 6.8 Schneider Angulon will cover 5x7 stopped down to f32 with no movements, but have never tried the 100mm Dagor. I got the 100mm Dagor because my 90mm Angulon would not allow the movements I needed at times on 4x5.
