What hood for an Optar 90/6.8?

Tested out the hyperfocal P&S today. Works great, but the Optar 90/6.8 is flarey. Anyone know what hood (press-on) this thing takes?

31mm diameter, chief. Google doesn't bring anything up, but I'm sure my goggle-fu isn't up to par fer ya, either.

VI or VII. You might be able to do eitehr. It depends on what the outer diameter of the lens measures. The adapters sometimes were available in two different series size for the same slip on diameter.

If you want to know the best source for series adapters, just ask... I know the best place to go for the best selection and best price.

While google lists Series VI adapters as 36.5mm, a friend who has one measures it as 32mm. So that's what I'm going for.

Series VI, Scott. Adapter in 31mm not known to have been made for series VII.

That might work. Conventional wisdom was that the adapters could be tweeked .5 mm, but I've tweeked them even more than that without breaking the tabs.

you could make a rigid bellows shade that attaches to the series ring that might work better than a round one on a wide angle
maybe it dont matter all that much
