Thread: The fat lady sings......

    Re: The fat lady sings......

I second E6 of Atlanta. I used them for years and then purchased a colenta machine to run my own. I had enough volume to make it worth while but after years of running I became too much to keep up with everything. Thompsons in Knoxville was ok when they ran a hundred or more rolls a day but now they are marginal at best. I don't think there is a lab in Chattanooga but could be wrong. E6 of Atl is the best I've used.

Houston now has only one lab that I know of that processes E-6 in large format. A-Z Photo Lab in Lillian St. in the Heights areq. They are the Oonly lab in town that will process 8x10 sheet film of any type. No lab will print from a negative without scanning it first. No lab will produce a print from wet chemistry (no contact prints).

so then . . .not with a bang, but with an extended whimper.

There are only three types of mounting flanges; too big, too small and wrong thread!

I shoot 5x8 and 11x14 - Edgar can process both (amazing)!

Praus did a great job with my C41, and very fast turn-around by mail.

As an alternative to Atlanta, you might consider National Geographic in D.C.
