Via private sale: Hermagis Eidoscope 14" f5 - $1000. Had original flange and one original waterhouse stop. Brass barrel is in excellent condition with minimal marks and tarnish. Lens hood has no dents, scratches, or major blemishes. Glass is clean and clear.

Yes. People buy camera bags more expensive than this. A heavy brass, wonderfully engraved, adjustable diffusion lens from one of the great American makers, that you may see one or two for sale a year is worth a lot more. A better question is why is a Dallmeyer 3B that you see 50 times a year worth $2,000?
