I don't think having or not having a flange is a factor in the price anymore, now that these lenses start at usually many hundreds of dollars. It mattered when I was buying lenses for $125.

A flange can be made for between $20 - $75 depending on who you send it too. On a $2,000 petzval or $4,000 exotic soft focus lens sale, that's like 2% of the sales price. Anyone worried about a missing flange would also worry that the nice Ferrari 350GT has bald tires. Yes, it would be nice to have them, but it doesn't slow down many bidders or affect final value.
