I was under the impression that these were not soft focus lenses. I guess with B&J badged lenses you never really know what you are getting. In any case these usually sell for $200 or less (I watch for them - I've been looking for one of their f8 rembrandt super portrait lenses).

I have one and it would seem to be a Petzval. Definitely not a soft focus lens.

That 48cm universal Heliar was indeed one beautiful find ...

i got one that is unmolested......read not coated after the fact with crappy cold coating..... that will eventually molt.

anyway.....it is still in the same price range.....if you want it.......
