I have a Majestic 2500 with a 1200 head . . . a heavy muthah, designed to hold a platform with a ULF camera, photographer, 37 loaded 20x24 holders, a cooler of beer, and a porta potty.
Actually I have never weighed the thing, but it must run about 35 pounds, so it isn't for carrying along when hiking to a location. On the other hand, if you can drive there, you have a tripod that is about as stable as a concrete statue base.

Look at the majestic tripods, I use one for Toyo G 1200 mm bellows and a 33 lb 14 x 17....it has a geared center column, smooth geared tilt etc. I use the 2500. Have recently picked up a smaller one and have found it is also adequate...
Manfrotto 3251 with 3047 head also works well with both cameras and the legs can be extended from a top release on the tripod, the Manfrotto, however is heaver than the Majectic 2500 with the 7 inch base plate etc! 16-18 lbs
The lower the profile, the less vibration. I now use a Vinten and Manfrotto video tripods. The advantages are weight and ease of setup. The Vinten is carbon. Both have a 'cup and ball' levelling platform and the legs are instantly adjustable. The oly bit that goes on top is a minimalist panoramic plate from Novoflex (Linhof does a clunkier one). Mine is screwed permanently to a 8x10 Gandolfi. Who needs a head for LF?
