ABL told me they don't process 4x5 any more. Is there any place left in Calgary that can process colour 4x5 or does it now have to be shipped out to Vancouver?

Believe it or not can still get 4X5 E6 done in Medicine Hat.
Good luck and hope there still is somewhere in Calgary doing LF colour processing
For large format C41, there is no place in alberta.. try ABC in vancouver or ColourGenics in toronto.....
But E6 is still being processed at Vistek in Calgary.. 35mm to 8x10 last i heard from Sam the great lab mgr and Casey, assistant mgr...
All the large format guys out here in the mountains seem to shoot b&w except myself and one other person.

Sean,
When I lived in Calgary many years ago... Nova Photo was "the" place to go for E6 processing. Their QC was well regarded and the owner use to run test strips far more frequently than was the standard.
Have you called them?
Cheers

Hi Sean,
Really sorry to hear that Nova Photo has closed down... they really were a class act in Calgary when they existed.
Good luck in finding another processor in Calgary.
Cheers

I got prices for C41 from ABC in Vancouver and E6 from Vistek in Calgary.
ABC's C41 processing prices are $2.50 per 4x5 sheet and $9.50 to send it expresspost back. Needs to be shipped in a film box, not film holders.
Vistek charges $5.99 per 4x5 sheet processed with E6. I haven't been able to find a place in Honolulu that does E6 or C41 processing of 4x5 sheets. There's a place in Honolulu I'll be using that has reasonable prices and next day turn-around for B&W sheets and I'll just bring the velvia back with me to Calgary, storing it in the hotel fridge.
I'll be shooting my first 4x5 during our honeymoon. I'm prepared for some disappointment due to mistakes of my own but I'm pretty excited
Hi Sean,
Firstly, congratulations... and have fun on your honeymoon!
Here's another lab for you to look at out here in Vancouver:

The Lab in Vancouver is also an excellent processor.
