    When only a 47mm will do (4x5)

Prison cell - a real hole in the wall - on a very narrow corridor in Fort Barrancas, Fl. 47mm XL, TMY-2, f22, slight front rise. No center filter, no adjustment except for resizing and sharpening. The walls are whitewashed, which makes texture a challenge. It was also so dark that I had to use a flashlight to set the camera. Focusing was OK, but framing was dead reckoning.:-)

Nice! Looks lonely and medieval (in the most wicked sense).

The exaggerated perspective and space make me feel faint, like I’m being led to the cell.

Hope this attracts more 4x5 + 47mm images.

Nicely done Ed! I'll offer a couple of 47xl's from a few years back. These were on t-max and no center filter. I don't shoot much 4x5 anymore but the 47 is a great lens.

What is this 47 you speak of? Do tell. Please.

47mm Super Angulon XL - covers 4x5 with room (a little) to spare. The widest full frame 4x5 lens.

Very nice perspective on the prison cell, good comp. This is my latest image with the 47xl. Taken with the centre filter on Fuji 160, possibly a slight amount of rise. Tristan

Nice get! You certainly have the gift of being able to "see" with those extreme wide angle lenses. Something I've never been able to do myself. Good on ya!
