    GRreetings from Brooklyn NY

    Hello!

I just found this forum ten minutes ago, but Ive been doing LFphotography for about 13 years. For my LF photos I mostly use a Wista 8x10 field camera and up the pyro film processing chemistry. I've got a Durst Labo 184 enlarger, but I rarely use it (light source too dim!!!) I do platinum contact prints from the negs for the most part. Nice to find this forum. I hope to have time to participate, starting Im sure with a bunch of questions as it seems there are tons of knowledgable people here. Cheers! Maria

Nice to hear from you Maria. Any good places in Brooklyn you can recommend for photo opportunities? Always looking for new points of interest. Bob G.

    hi people!!

I wish I couldve made it to the wet plate meetup in the Catskills- I love it up there! Ive never done wet plate YET, but I think it is in my future..... I truly hope there will be a chance to meet some LF folks face to face for fun shooting or just shooting the ... breeeze, sometime soon.

    cheers and keep me posted.

oh, and as far as interesting places to shoot in Brookyn, there is the Gowanus area, and REd Hook, of course Coney Island, though a shadow of its former self, it is still interesting, and Floyd Bennett Field. The last is a place I really want to go into- there are some old hangars there that look like great subject matter..

Welcome to the forum, Maria. I'm from Brooklyn too. You are right, there are tons of knowledgeable people here, I learned a lot from this place too.

Like Pete said, maybe it's time for another gathering.
