This is my first post and my first picture submission. I made this picture a couple of weeks ago of Pastor Vermon Pierre in Phoenix, AZ. The photograph was created with an 8 X 10 camera. I exposed both Provia and HP5. The color is stunning but I truly love B & W. I used Ilford HP5, tray processed in PMK Pyro. I scanned the negative on a Epson V750. It's been a long time since I’ve made a portrait with the 8 X 10 camera but I enjoyed this so much I hope to do more soon.

Great pictures everyone, great to see different styles carried out with different tools to achieve very characteristic looks. Very much a learning thread.

From last night. perscheid 480mm @f/6.3
overexposed and developped for 12mn in rodinal 1:100 18degC with continuous agitation in paterson orbital. Even if the price tag helps, I like this lens more and more.
