Yes, very nice. It has soft focus, snow, trees, (good ingredients in my book) and is done by someone who knows what they are doing!

What a pleasure to see a beautiful landscape made with a Struss. That is a lens I have wanted for years, but realize I will never own.

Jim Noel, I know getting a Struss is just a matter of time, and in my case I know it will happen

The day before with clear blue sky, this time using the Port-Land 9" wide open with a red filter to separate the sky from the plane trail.

This second image shot a few minutes apart show the scene different focal length. While a bit of a give away I find it enjoyable to see how the soft focus renders the scene and enjoy the different emotional response I get from it.

It's been fun finding a voice with this lens. I'm slowly starying to find a rendering I like.

wow the soft version is really nice. Can I ask which of the aperture rings you used? and if the little perforations were open or closed?
I'm curious because I've just got an imagon myself

    Hi Jasonso,

I used the aperture on the lens at approx F8. No disks. So similar look to holes closed.

It's good to start with the disks this would be identical to 7.7 holes closed.

A favorite of mine from the Eastern Sierra. Spencer-Portland 15". The scene was made for this lens. Can't wait to use it in the new location.

Lee, thank you. Once we get the darkroom built and art on the wall at the new place I'll have a meet and greet for everyone. We are in Vancouver Washington now and still much to do. My prints are still packed up and it is time to get busy unpacking them and finding places on the walls. Glad you liked this image.
