Large len board is great if you have BIG len!!!!!
If my Tachi can accept 6inches len board, then using Aero 12in won't be a problem.
Now, I need to drill hole on the len barrel.
Try stuffing one of these in your Technika:

The 6x6 boards on my 'dorff accept #5 Universals. It is a good compromise but I'll never be able to slap a big brass Vitax on her!
A lot of very useful old 8x10 lenses ride in #5 shutters, btw (10" WF Ektar, 14" Commercial Ektar. 375 Ilex, a whole slew of Wollys.)

The opening in the front standard of the Master Technika is something around 85mm, maybe a hair less. Other cameras that accept Technika boards generally have similar openings, though sometimes they're smaller.
Just looking at the early-90's vintage Rodenstock and Schneider catalogs that happen to be within easy reach, I count nine lenses that won't fit. There are others.
could you type those down? i only have access to the current catalogs that are online. at the moment, this is my list of lenses that have rear cells larger than 85mm:
480mm f/8.4 apo-symmar-l (110mm)
600mm f/6 apo-tele-xenar (90mm)
800mm f/12 apo-tele-xenar (90mm)
90mm f/5.6 super-angulon xl (86mm, 78mm without lens protection ring. doesn't cover 8x10.)
if anyone out there has specs for nikkor and fujinon lenses, that would be greatly appreciated!
