Is there a "q-lab" lab in Nyc?

    hi evryone!

i'm traveliing to new york soon, and i'd like to get my films processed when i'm there.
However, from the kodak website, i couldn't find a lab in new york that has the kodak q-lab certification.
Does it not exist in usa?

    Or did i miss one?

Anyway, what's the best lab to process E6? price is not an issue, it will be cheaper than france anyway

    thanks.

Im not sure if any labs in nyc are still Q Lab certified. IIRC, Kodak recently closed the last of the Q Labs they owned.

The best lab for E6 is LTI on 30th and Park Ave.
I have used them for many years, they are fantastic guys to work with.
They run D&D processors for E6, C41 and B&W. They are more consistent then any other lab ive tried in the city.

    so i've been to lti.

Can't comment on the results yet, i have to scan my films first.

Though, i found the people working there to be a bit rough. The guy was not that nice, once he got my films he just turned his back on me and started doing something else, without telling me the conversation was over...
And he didn't seem to recognize me even a bit when i came back three hours later.
Needless to say i didn't get a smile or a "thank you for your business"...

it's not that important, but it's kind of sad that of all the places i've been to in new york, i got the worst welcome in a photo lab

i'm realy not sure about that...
My impression was that new yorkers are pretty good salesmen, always polite and helpful (in the shops)
I only met a few rude people, and they were either taxi drivers or... lti!!

But it's true their service is great : my slides have details in the deepest shadows and the highlights!! great process!!

Sorry about what happened at LTI, they really are the some of the nicest people i have ever met.
Their processing and fast service is top notch! Best in the city.
I have spent a lot of time with them over the years and they have become great friends.
They treat their clients like best friends but everyone has a bad day and they have been swamped lately.

If I'd seen this post earlier, I would have recommended Manhattan Color Labs (4 West 20th Street). I always use them for E-6 developing as their prices are better, their quality for E-6 is just as good, and they're nice and accomodating.
