Greetings and salutations!
I am new to the LF community and forum as well. I am coming from a medium format background, shooting primarily 6x7 with a Mamiya 7II. I have always admired large format photography and the photographers who create the ethereal images associated with 4x5 and 8x10's. So I took the plunge finally, selling off my medium format gear to fund my 4x5 gear, I currently bought a Chamonix 45n-1 and a Schneider 150mm APO Symmar L 5.6 along with the other bare necessities associated with this format. I was looking at various types of cameras for a while and finally went with a Chamonix because of all the positive reviews and the pricepoint. It has plenty of movements (of which I am still getting the hang of) and is solidly built!
I have enclosed a link to my work. I shoot in and around the five boroughs, mostly urban landscapes/scenics and like most landscape shooters I'm sure, trying to market my work to get some sales.
Feel free to drop me a message anytime, most likely though I will be asking for lots of advice
