Help setting a LINOTYPE HELL LINOTRONIC 330 rip 50 and XP

I added a LINOTYPE HELL LINOTRONIC 330 rip 50 and XP to my workflow, however I am having trouble getting it to play nice!!
The gear :
Rip50
LINOTYPE HELL LINOTRONIC 330
Mac 9600/200 OS 9
Windows XP SP 3
my plan to use it for making negatives for doing my contact printing( Platinum/Palladium).

You didn't mention what the actual problem is.
Are they not connecting? Is the file not imaging? Is only part of the image imaging?
Those old imagesetters were a pain to work with back then. They don't lend themselves to new tech i.e. XP SP3.
First, downgrade to Win 2k. Check all of the pins in your cables.
Make sure you have everything on a voltage conditioner.

I can think of a lot of other things but this is a good start.
