What discontinued product do you miss the most?

Kodak Technical pan, HIE and EIR. There's no substitute for these.
Oriental Seagull G (the original good stuff from the early 90s)
Polaroid SX70 and Type 55 (and their other sheet films too)
Ektar 25 (though Ektar 100 is a nice substitute)

Uh-oh. How old is your Optima? I have some frozen 4x5 from the late 90s. Might ought to shoot it ASAP and hope for the best.

Optima was nice, and Ultra 50 in 35mm was unreal, but Portra 400 is also a wonderful general use film and Ektar 100 close to Ultra 50 in saturation. I always found Ultra 50 difficult to print on Kodak papers when I was printing RA4. The prints I got from machines on Fuji paper generally looked better than anything I could do by hand, which was not true of any other film. I think it was just a better fit for Fuji paper. Ironic, now that Fuji sheets are readily available and Kodak is only in rolls or cut down by someone else or old stock from ebay.

Roger, it expired in '07 and has been frozen since. I can correct for the shifts in Photoshop easy enough but I doubt you could print it adequately.

I agree with rjphill: I really miss Bergger 4x5 200 film. Great exposure latitude, straight line H&D curve, developed well in HC110 or Rodinal.
