I am not really sure this type of image belongs on this forum as it is made without a camera and film. The glass plates I have made I have been using for making a platinum contact print. The carbon soot makes for a good contrast "negative" - here is another 8x10 glass plate with a soot/carbon "image" - it is a negative scan.

A snowbank. Owls Head Maine. February 2015. Speed graphic and 7.25" verito soft focus lens. FP4+ 4x5 film in pyrocat hd.
Snowbanks are kinda ugly parts of winter. People who hate snow despise them for being in the way. People who love nature and snow despise them for being un-natural obstacles. Sometimes if the light is on them right, they can be pretty, but if they are dirty they don't seem pretty, and if they are clean, they lack contrast. Being attracted to waste a sheet of film on a snowbank is sort of a mix of trying to find something beautiful in what nobody likes, and part technical challenge as it's a tough subject because of the light/contrast/composition. This is a start.
