I once jumped off a chair with my 8x10 while wearing a parachute.

I find it hard to believe no one has ever jumped out of an airplane with a speed graphic before.

Or one of the many aerial-photography 4x5 box cameras with cones replacing bellows.

It's like those hacks who go around with portfolios of stupid shots and then they claim they are art because they used a large format camera instead of a Rebel. Like that Gigapixel crap.
    Hey! I resemble that remark.

If you are referring to gigapxl.org, the guy never claimed to be an artist. As for Clifford Ross, I think enough other people have deemed him an artist, for example http://dlkcollection.blogspot.com/20...sonnabend.html

It gets a bit windy, you know, and you'd also like to have your hands free.

"I wanted to upend the norms ... to be used in a wildly different way... a hybrid of new and old, calm and chaos."

Sounds like an assistant professor bucking for tenure.

The concept was already kind of used by Wolfgang Tillmans in "Concorde".

I used my Razzle from an aircraft, I used double sided tape made tacky to hold the film, to be honest I thought the pictures I shot on the Pentax 67 were better in everyway. Then again my 1DsmkIII beats that. If quality is his goal I would suggest a large Phaseone. Like someone else mentioned, you could get that from a plane. Pointless exercise.
