No it will not cover, go to a 210 Geronar.
I don't know about the Rodenstock, but I've had excellent results with an Ilex 229mm barrel lens on my 8x10. Its coated and CHEAP. Photographic Systems in Albaquerrr Alboquerrr that city in New Mexico has them, I think it goes for around $70. Good luck and Happy New Year to everyone!

Of the standard enlarging lenses, 240mm is about the shortest focal length that's recommended for 8x10. I recently purchased a 240mm Componon in quite decent shape for $160 on ebay. Not a bad buy.
I spoke with someone who said that he gets good results with a 240mm G-Claron. Contrasty, etc. The nice thing about this lense is that it can double as a taking lense. Schneider sells a barrel so that one can use this lense for enlarging. But, I suspect that one will get the best results with an actual enlarger lense.
