    Thank you, but D-23 is rather "plain-vanlilla", very similar if not identical to D-76 with regard to film speed, contrast curves, etc.

    Tonality comes more from our choice of subject, lighting and subsequent handling in Photoshop or the darkroom.

    D-23 is a metol developer which is soft and semi compensating. It shows in others work as well.
