    Lord Vader - Nice shots... Jealous regarding your new V700... Im scanning on an old dog of a scanner that wont pull detail out of dark areas on Velvia..

    Thanks alexn

    I was surprised how well the thing scans. I have had some photo's done by a drum scanner, which had AMAZING quality, but for the price, I think the V700 is great !

    I have some betterscanning holders on the way, so look forward to playing with those too !

    Yes I just got a V700 about a month ago and can't believe how nice the scans are, I have been working on & printing negs from PS that would have been difficult or impossible in the darkroom (at least for me).
    I thought the prints I was making from my Olympus ELP-1 were pretty good until I saw the prints from scanned 4x5's wow what a difference.

    @RHITMrB:

    Best bean pic I've seen in a long time. And there are lots of bean pics out there... Yours really blends the sense that it is a stationary monument with the constant movement of people around it. Well done.

    Taken this afternoon in downtown Portland. I thought I had the camera level but it doesn't appear to have been the case. It may have moved during film holder insertion.

    4x5 Pacemaker Speed Graphic, Kodak Aero-Ektar, expired Polaroid type 51 (negative scan).
