    Thanks. It's the second time now it has flared pretty good. I am going to try and avoid direct sunlight like this with the Kowa. Probably common sense but coming from digital the lenses there behave quite well in that regard, generally.

    Thanks. I find the colors of the Velvia purer. Both were exposed to pretty much silhouette the refinery and maintain highlights and color saturation so shadow detail in both is limited. If I hadn't moved the position of the camera slightly I would have been able to composite the bridge from Portra into the Velvia photo to gain that extra detail. The Portra was edited to look a bit like the Velvia, but I didn't give it my best effort since I wasn't as fond of the result/flare.
