    Re: post your urban landscapes

More [sub]urban landscapes! These are negative scans, I brought the actual 11x14 prints in to our monthly meeting of the NJ Photographer's Forum for discussion. As the only film photographer showing prints that evening, amongst a bunch of digital/Photoshoppers, I actually received a round of applause in honor of still using chemicals! And a few comments along the lines of "I wish I could make prints like that in Photoshop" (which, incidentally I disagreed with, pointing out that in my opinion a skilled digital printer can produce wonderful prints in that medium). Of course, it leaves me with a general question, which is if one prints the "good stuff" 11x14, how do you get the image up for the forum? My negative scans show what the image looks like, but the actual prints are noticeably better.

First, local garden with cherry blossoms which were in bloom about a month ago:

All HP5+, PMK. C&C always welcome.

Edit: OK, I had to use the LFPF "insert image" option which gives little thumbnails, since my Flickr links no longer seem to work. Anyone else having a problem with something that's changed on Flickr?

In Flickr's 'Share' dialog, make sure you have 'BBCode' selected. If there aren't a bunch of square brackets ][][ involved you haven't chosen the right option.

Bingo! I didn't notice that I wasn't getting the BBCode any more! With apologies for double posting, here are the images more the way they are supposed to look:

Not sure if this is best for these..

I seem to have forgotten about reciprocity correction so this one is a bit grainy and underexposed in the shadows.

This one looks fine at web resolutions but has a general, even, softness about it when viewed large.

One of these days i'll manage to take a LF photo which is technically proper.
