thanks Corran, I was thinking of doing that but somehow I went for a portrait cut.
unfortunately I was a bit late so couldnt catch the blue of the sky and the spill...

this shot was taken in Alschwill, just opposite side of the famous Actelion building:
135mm Schneider / portra 160nc f22/4min - home development cpe2, I think the strange streaks on the low left conrner is because of my lack of experiences. (or the police car who just stopped there at the end of the exposure to check what Im doing?).

I love the muted colors in these images. It really adds feeling and atmosphere to them; old and new.

There have been claims of eminent domain abuse, but it seems to be going no where. The people who work here don't have the power to fight the big developers.

It is no an uncommon occurrence when the NYPD blocks off the streets while the DEP raids businesses and writes summonses. This shuts down everyone's business for hours.

It is a stark microcosm for America's love affair with the automobile and it is bisected by three of the largest highways in NYC.

The people here are fond of their little town.

This is a Sunday afternoon -- it is normally very busy.

I do not know why the flag has more than 50 stars.

Thanks, I came across this place a couple of months ago - took a wrong turn - and wondered about the history and what was going to happen with it. I'm not surprised that the city, and I imagine surrounding neighbourhoods, want to get rid of it.

Bi-whated? By how many highways? Wouldn't that be hex-septed?
