Bosaiya, those insects of yours are just fabulous.

Thanks!
I make (made) a point of using whatever lens I had laying around at the time. Everything from funky old Polaroid and cheapo garage sale enlarger lenses held on with rubber bands up to expensive Schneider macro lenses. Bellows were silver dryer vent tubing held together with spring clips and the massive light-leaks were blocked with towels and drapes.
One of my personal goals was to prove to myself that the gear used was just a means to an end, a craftsman's tools.
I'm glad this thread popped up to the top. I remember seeing your work (Bosaiya) a long time ago, but I only saw maybe 5 or 6 images. Maybe it was the beginning of your project, maybe you'd just put a few up on a forum somewhere. Anyway I'm glad to see how much you have done on this because the subject and technique combined like this makes for a pretty unique body of work. There are lots of insect macrophotographers, but few are so bold (insane?) to do it with large format
Bosaiya,
I just wanted to add my voice here and say your insect photos are really extraordinary. You've inspired me to think about using my camera in ways I hadn't even considered.
Thank you.
