It's fun mixing higher ISO film (Tri-X 320) with studio flash:

Last autumn, I rescued this leaf from the curb and brought it home for a macro shot. First, I taped the leaf's stem to a white poster board. Next, I considered using flash, but decided to try window light instead. My Tachi's bellows were very extended, my aperture was very narrow, and I metered a shutter speed well into the seconds. (Good thing there was no wind! ) The magnification was getting close to life size, perhaps 1:1.5 or better. I didn't have a lot of confidence about what would happen, especially w/ diffraction in mind, but my 150 g-claron surprised me.
