Thank you for the great compliment Austin, specially coming from you. These are plants hanging outside our window and it didn't look like much before until they started constructing a building right in front of the window, which created an interesting background.
Unfortunately, I am my worst enemy when it comes to photography. I see quite a few compositions around but I somehow often talk myself out of making the image....but I'm working on it! :-)
Thanks Dennis! Yes, I am flattered with the compliments from you all. I do follow Austin's work on flickr! He is amazing!
Captain that photo of the elephant ear is excellent!
Came across this hardy and colorful bush along the granite ledge at Birch Point Beach state park in Owls Head Maine. I took a photo with the cell phone and one with the Aero Ektar and Ektar 100 4x5 film.
Reference/Context shot:
Aero Ektar / Speed Graphic / Ektar 100 dirty scan. This is worth clicking and viewing full screen. Money on film and processing well spent in my estimation.

My books @ Blurb (only heavily outdated "Serene Landscape").
Lovely color and texture in that image, Jason. Such wonderful depth too. Fantastic use of that A-E.
