Since I never know any plant names, I can't tell you what this is called. But it looked wonderful through the Tele-Xenar 180 on the ground glass. The Tele-Xenar is quite obviously optimized for sharpness on far away objects (impressive IMHO), so there are some interesting "deviations" on a scale like this... unfortunately not totally obvious at this size.

Corn lilies, a well worn subject. (See McSavaney, Sexton, Barnbaum, ...)
The second image is just a crop from the first - I don't have the lens or bellows to get something like that in camera. I think I prefer its abstraction to the literalness of the first. Both could be a bit sharper in places...
