    Anyone experienced a Imacon 2848?

    Dear all

I have searched on the net & this forum, but I cound'nt find any review but a spec. It seems like 2 in 1 scanner which is a vitural drum(Imacon 848) and flatbed(electrostatic flatbed).
I think that electrostatic flatbed system is very good for larger than 4x5 film, such as 5x7 8x10.
Does anyone experience electrostatic flatbed? Is it sharp as a vitural drum system?

    Cheers.

    Gino

You can come to your own conclusions by viewing results here: CLICK..but the short answer to it being sharper than drum scanning is...NO. Do a search on the forums though...this discussions have been on the mill several times over
