I am very glad to have found this forum. The people here seem to be very nice, professional, and knowledgeable ... (at least so far). I hope to be likewise as I ask a lot of questions in the beginning, and answer just a few.

I don't know about all the accolades, it can get testy in here at times.
But welcome. There is a sizable contingent from the DFW area, I'm sure they will find you, assuming you want to be found...

Always happy to see another Texian using big ol' cameras! Welcome!

Hi Brian,
Bob, Mike, and Glenn welcomed you.
Add my welcome to the LF forum.
The four of us are a large format camera group here in the DFW area.
We go out shooting on Sat. mornings. If the weather doesn't cooperate, we meet for breakfast and shoot the breeze about photography.
Between the four of us, we have over 125 years of experience. You're welcome to join us.
Sounds like a great group. I'd love to meet everyone. Thanks!
Welcome to group therepy! What are you shooting??
Nowadays, I shoot mainly medium format digital for all my commercial clients and some film for one or two editorial clients. I "grew up" shooting 4x5 film on Cambos in the studio and on location and loved readyloads. By joining this forum I hope to learn more about 4x5 field cameras, available film choices, and darkroom/printing and scanning. It looks like I also need to start saving money for future equipment!
Glad to have you with us, Brian!
