Re: I finally have a website

Thanks, Michael. There was a problem viewing the site in Firefox. I changed a few things, so now it loads properly in most browsers. There is still a bit of a problem with smaller screens, and I'm working to get it resolved. A few images need resizing, and I have to get the Pro version of SimpleViewer to remove the logo and reposition the arrows.

    Kumar,
Very nice site and VERY NICE images. I hadn't heard of the software you used but I think that images must stand on their own and yours certainly do.

A client once told me he appreciates websites whose logos don't spin or have strange noices upon clicking thumbnails or any of that nonsense (his words, not mine) and yours is the epitome of his philosophy (which which I agree).

Your site is elegant, clean, and shows your work to its best advantage.

    Well done, very well done.

    Regards,

    Randy

Kumar, I understand. Makes it very very appropriate. Thanks for the explanation.

Looks good to me. Allows easy access and viewing. Nothing pretentious or cute, just straightforward -- too bad all websites aren't.

Very nice work and I really like the site.

Simpleviewer is a little intrusive with the overlaid arrows, but you can scroll through the photos using a mouse wheel and the arrows won't show up if the mouse pointer is out of the target area.

Bill and Colin, thank you. I believe SimpleViewer Pro can be configured to move the arrows out of the image area. I also want to make the arrows under the thumbnails smaller and a little closer to each other. It needs Flash to edit the underlying code. I'm looking through the SV forum to see how it can be done. I would be very glad to hear of any hints or suggestions.

    Kumar,

Very nice site with some wonderful work. The only thing that bothers me is that the thumbnails are just too small to provide enough detail. Some are just too mushy to make me want to look at the larger image, but when I do anyway, I am surprised to see another beautiful photograph. I think the thumbnails should provide an incentive for me to look at the larger image, not deter me.
