Gandolfi, I'm not usually a fan of bromoil, but the way YOU use it, it's magic. Nice work!

Thanks all - it means a lot!!

I know the way I, and my girlfriend, makes it, is not the common way..

We havn't figured out how to do it with normal bromfriendly papers... - we use liquid emulsion as matrix.
It gives other types of results, but it certainly has some possibillities you don't see the "normal" way..

    Thanks again.

(PS: my girlfriend is also a member in here, but I havn't been able to pursuate her to submit images yet... hopefully she will - she is very talented!)

Lovely, Emil! I wish my monitor could do justice to an original bromoil print. The coming together of image and craft is perfect.

And Scott, the sincerity and directness of the gaze from those young eyes is powerful.

These portrait threads have become treasure troves...

    (and thank you, Joe!)

These are great portraits, in spite of the funky alt techniques and crappy lenses ;-) Really they'd be good shots even if they were done with Digital Rebels and kit zoom lenses.

Laura is a student of mine. she is a fantastic person - extreamly beautiful - pure gold in her soul..
And to top it, she is a fantastic painter! With a large, impressive production behind her....

So I made this portrait of her in bromoil - and I did it "wrongly" on purpose - to get a sense of sketch in the image. Because of her being a painter..

    Absolutely wonderful!
