(And I NEVER use coffee.... I drink it - I develop in it, and I use it in food - and of course I use it for handcolouring images... but I never use it for Cyanotypes...)

Here's the results of the Rooibos toning. I'll have to compare to the PG Tips black tea side to side. This one is more yellow/sepia.
The bleaching is quite powerful as it lets you fix prints that came out too dark. On the other hand it makes the image a lot grainier and undefined, this part I don't like at all.

I like the color but not the flatness associated with toning. This was bleached quite a bit and toned for one hour in Rooibos.

This one I am quite happy with. The print was super dense and all the detail in the leaves was completely gone, a dark mass of nothing. The second I put it in water to soak, a lot of the dark already started to lighten. I then bleached it in very diluted sodium carbonate for a minute or two and toned it Rooibos for 15 minutes.
It looked beautiful when wet. The dried print lost a lot of detail and sharpness.

That's Flickr's sharpening making up for loss of detail. The second one seems to be getting darker with time

Damn! 96! Inge looks great. My mother is 93, but dislikes photos. Well now she does. She was a knockout for 80 years, but now she keeps getting shorter. I'll never get that old...

How much is Fomaspeed Liquid Photo Emulsion with Hardener - 1 kilogram, in your area? Here it seems only Freestyle stocks it and it is $125. Not a bad price, I am just curious. I think you buy by the case! I am ordering some with my next paycheck. I really like the idea of using it on good heavy art paper. I think FOMA recommends a flat smooth paper.
