Very nice! Is this a straight VanDyke print without any toning?

    Hi Dan,

the print was toned and fixed in a "monobath" of selenium toner 4+900 for two minutes. I read on Wolfgang Moersch's website that this was possible, and it eliminates the risk of excessive bleaching when using selenium toner and fix as separate baths.

What sort of bleach/toning are you using Matthias?
I've started doing a few cyanotypes after 30 years. Here's one untoned. Still need to practice.

    Ramiro,

I always use sodium carbonate for bleaching, and either instant coffee or tannic acid for toning. These two were toned in coffee.

I find that with coffee I get better results when bleaching before toning, with tannic acid I do it the other way round.
